Fiscal Note Summary
Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
The purpose of this bill is to ensure that persons setting up a payment plan make payments on that plan or else their licenses will be suspended.
The Division will require two additional employees to process the expected volume of 12,000 transactions. Total personnel services and benefits for these positions would be $94,256 annually.
Current Expense would consist of mailing and supply expense of $0.72 per item for a total current expense of $8,640 (12,000 X $0.72).
The Division expects 67%, or 8,040 (67% X 12,000), will ultimately reinstate their license generating $402,000 (8,040 X $50) in reinstatement fees.
