Fiscal Note Summary

Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.

The proposed legislation is to codify and reorganize existing committee/subcommittees relating to the Governor’s Committee on Crime, Delinquency and Correction. This legislation would make the GCCDC and its processes more streamlined while maintaining the integrity and authority of its various subcommittees. The legislation also seeks to update or delete obsolete language. Given that the Division already acts as staff to the GCCDC and functions the meetings with existing funds it is anticipated that this bill will have no fiscal impact on DJCS.
