Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.


The provisions of proposed House Bill 2694 have no costs or revenue impacts directly upon the finances of the State of West Virginia. The bill's potential impacts would consists of potential cost savings for local governments around the State. Such savings would be realized by combining the costs associated with local special elections with general elections which are held the Tuesday following the first Monday in November of each even-numbered year. This office however does not have access to any quantitative data which would allow us to estimate the financial impacts of the potential cost savings.
