Fiscal Note Summary
Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
The purpose of this bill is to create the Commission to Accelerate Statewide Coordination of Mental Health Services for Children and Adolescents; and provide findings, requirements, reports, recommendations and termination.
Based on experience with other commissions of this size and scope, a facilitator contract has been necessary. Due to Purchasing rules, this type of contract must be competitively bid. The cost of facilitator contract is estimated at $60,000, based on the current facilitator contract for the Governor’s Advisory Council on Substance Abuse. Additionally the Department estimates there will be minimal travel expenditures based on the information provided in the legislation. The travel costs will be absorbed within current funding.
