Memorandum
If enacted, HB4266 would not have a fiscal impact on the revenues or expenses of the Offices of the Insurance Commissioner.
If enacted, HB4266 would permit the creation of transportation network companies and establish the statutory framework for the operation of those companies. HB4266 would allow automobile insurance companies to exclude certain coverage and would also define the relationship between drivers and transportation network companies.
HB4266 may have a fiscal impact on the operations of the Division of Motor Vehicles and input from that agency should be considered.
