Fiscal Note Summary
Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
The presumed purpose of this bill is to establish the Debt Resolution Services Division, administered by the State Auditor, to identify and offset state payments due to vendors, contractors, or Taxpayers that owe delinquent debts to the State.
According to our interpretation and available information, we would expect a minimal gain in revenue associated with the proposed vendor payment offset program.
There would be no additional costs incurred by the State Tax Department.
