Fiscal Note Summary
Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
The purpose of this bill is to permit the issuance of a special license plate to support adoption.
This bill establishes a one-time initial application fee of $10, and an annual fee of $15. This is in addition to other fees which include a $50 registration fee, $0.50 insurance verification fee and a $1 litter fee for a total initial fee of $76.50 per plate. All fees, except for the $10 initial application fee, are applicable to subsequent years.
Initial expenses will consist of Registration card $0.02, Plate $6.80, Labor $5, and postage of 2.56. The above estimates are per registration plate issued. Additionally, there will be programming of 40 hours at a cost of $51.50 for a total of $2,060.
