Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.


The purpose of this bill is authorize the Supreme Court to establish curricula for Mental Hygiene Commissioners and those magistrates designated by the chief judge of a judicial circuit to hold probable cause and emergency detention hearings involving involuntary hospitalization. The Department estimates no fiscal impact relating to this legislation as this code section falls under the Supreme Court.
