Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):


The WVDE does not anticipate increased costs to incorporate general workforce and preparedness instruction into current secondary course requirements or for disseminating information relating to CTE opportunities. Likewise, the WVDE does not anticipate additional costs to streamline and prioritize the statutory activities of the CTE/CTC consortia as directed in the bill. Finally, there is no anticipated cost to the WVDE for allowing training hours earned by CTE students to count toward licensure requirements of the Department of Labor and applicable Chapter 30 Boards.
