There would be little to no administrative costs associated with this law change.
Memorandum
WV only has about 43,000 registered boats, so we expect little change with the implementation of this law change. There would be a few changes made from existing law to reflect current Federal regulations discovered during a United States Coast Guard program review in 2018. Last year the law enforcement section received $164,628.75 in revenue from motorboat license sales.
