This will increase salary cost over 3 years by a total of $5,000 per employee with $1,667 increments each year.
The total impact with benefits for all filled positions in DCR is as follows:

Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):
The current filled positions for DCR is 3,330 employees. Using the increment of $1,667 for each employee, the total is $5.5 million per year increase. However, we must add the benefit cost into this. We estimated 22.65% for benefits for a total cost of $1.3 million. Giving us the $6.8 million increase by adding these together ($5.5M salary + $1.3M benefits).
Memorandum
This bill will increase DCR personnel cost by $6.8 million per year to the total of $20.4 million in ongoing personnel expenses.
