Fiscal Note Summary

Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.

Division of Highways (DOH) has defined "regional field employees" as our DOH Transportation Worker Series. This does not include multiple classifications and series found in each district, i.e., storekeepers, accounting technicians, administrative staff.

Memorandum

Please identify any areas of vagueness, technical defects, reasons a bill would not have a fiscal impact, and/or any special issues not captured elsewhere on this form. HB2491 does not provide a clear definition of regional field employees. In response to lines 22-24, the State Personnel Board (SPB) at its meeting held on April 19, 2018, approved the DOT-DOH proposal (SPB#2792) to establish its own Salary Pay Plan in response to SB2003 which became effective December 1, 2017.
