Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.


This bill restores the cap for damages to $1,000,000 for the WV Division of Corrections & Rehabilitation, in line with other state agencies. Therefore, it prevents the increase to $1,250,000 outlined in this section of code and will avoid a subsequent increase in settlements.
