Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
Senate Bill 708, if enacted, would add certified behavior analysts as health professionals to the students who can receive loans from the health professions student loan program.
The estimated additional cost for including recent graduates who are Certified Behavioral Analysts to those eligible for the Health Sciences Service Program is approximately $250,000 annually.

Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):
This estimate is based on:
The number of recent college graduates of academic programs eligible to take the
certification examination.
The number of recent college graduates in eligible programs who had educational
loans.
Average loan amounts for graduates with student loans are higher than 30,000. As a result the maximum loan repayment amount was used in the estimates.
