A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated §29A-1-3c, relating to requiring agencies of the state, county or municipality that have authority to issue citations for violations of rules or law, to furnish a copy of the rule or law to the person accused.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:


ARTICLE 1. DEFINITIONS AND APPLICATION OF CHAPTER.


§29A-1-3c. Copy of rule or statute to be provided when citation issued.

Any agency, county board, commission, or municipality of the state having authority to regulate any business or profession, or to propose rules for legislative approval in accordance with this chapter for the regulation of any business or profession in this state, shall provide the business or person receiving a citation for a violation a copy of the code provision or rule that is alleged to have been violated, upon issuance of a citation.


 

NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to require agencies of the state, county or municipality that have authority to issue citations for violations of rules or law, to furnish a copy of the rule or law to the person accused.
