A BILL to amend article two, chapter five-b of the code of West
Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, by
adding thereto a new section, designated section twelve-a,
relating to authorizing the tourism commission the use of the
tourism promotion fund to support the southern legislative
conference annual meeting to be held in this state in the year
one thousand nine hundred ninety-seven.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That article two, chapter five-b of the code of West Virginia,
one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, be amended by
adding thereto a new section, designated section twelve-a, to read
as follows:
ARTICLE 2. WEST VIRGINIA DEVELOPMENT OFFICE.
§5B-2-12a.Tourism fund support of southern legislative
conference annual meeting of 1997.
(a) Notwithstanding the provisions of section twelve of this article, the tourism commission may expend moneys from the tourism
promotion fund in the amount necessary to support the annual
meeting of the southern legislative conference which will be held
in this state in the month of July, one thousand nine hundred
ninety-seven.
(b) The provisions of this section expire on the first day of
September, one thousand nine hundred ninety-seven.
