A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding a new section, designated §29A-3B-13, relating to requiring State Board of Education legislative rules to be authorized by the Legislative Oversight Commission on Education Accountability and submitted for review by Legislature.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:

ARTICLE 3B. STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION RULE MAKING.

§29A-3B-13. Board of Education to promulgate rules; submission to Legislature.

In order to effectuate the provisions of this article, the State Board of Education shall submit all legislative rules for authorization by the Legislative Oversight Commission on Education Accountability and submission to the Legislature for its review and approval, amendment, or rejection, in whole or in part, in the manner prescribed by general law.
