A BILL to repeal §22A-1-1 et seq., §22A-1A-1 et seq., §22A-2-1 et seq., §22A-2A-1 et seq., §22A-3-1 et seq., §22A-4-1 et seq., §22A-5-1 et seq., §22A-6-1 et seq., §22A-7-1 et seq., §22A-8-1 et seq., §22A-9-1 et seq., §22A-10-1 et seq., §22A-11-1 et seq., and §22A-12-1 et seq. of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, all relating to miners’ health, safety and training.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
Chapter 22A. Miners’ Health, Safety and Training.
Article 1. Office of Miners’ health, safety and training: administration; enforcement.
§1. Repeal of article relating to the office of miners’ health, safety, and training; Administration; enforcement.
That §22A-1-1 through §22A-1-44 are repealed.
§2. Repeal of article relating to office of miners’ health, safety, and training; administration; substance abuse.
That §22A-1A-1 through §22A-1A-4 are repealed.
§3. Repeal of article relating to underground mines.
That §22A-2-1 through §22A-2-80 are repealed.
§4. Repeal of article relating to use of diesel-powered equipment in underground coal mines.
That §22A-2A-101 through §22A-2A-1001 are repealed.
§5. Repeal of article relating to underground clay mine.
That §22A-3-1 through §22A-3-3 are repealed.
§6. Repeal of article relating to open-pit mines, cement manufacturing plants and underground limestone and sandstone mines.
That §22A-4-1 through §22A-4-6 are repealed.
§7. Repeal of article relating to board of appeals.
That §22A-5-1 through §22A-5-2 are repealed.
§8. Repeal of article relating to board of coal mine health and safety.
That §22A-6-1 through §22A-6-14 are repealed.
§9. Repeal of article relating to board of miner training, education, and certification.
That §22A-7-1 through §22A-7-7 are repealed.
§10. Repeal of article relating to certification of underground and surface coal miners.
That §22A-8-1 through §22A-8-10 are repealed.
§11. Repeal of article relating to mine inspectors’ examining board.
That §22A-9-1 is repealed.
§12. Repeal of article relating to emergency medical personnel.
That §22A-10-1 through §22A-10-3 are repealed.
§13. Repeal of article relating to mine safety technology.
That §22A-11-1 through §22A-11-5 are repealed.
§14. Repeal of article relating to underground accident investigations.
That §22A-12-1 is repealed.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to repeal all of the provisions of Chapter 22A of the Code of West Virginia relating to Miners’ health, safety, and training.
