A BILL to amend and reenact section twenty-seven, article sixteen,
chapter five of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine
hundred thirty-one, as amended, relating to continuation of
the public employees insurance agency.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:


That section twenty-seven, article sixteen, chapter five of
the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as
amended, be amended and reenacted to read as follows:
ARTICLE 16. WEST VIRGINIA PUBLIC EMPLOYEES INSURANCE ACT.
§5-16-27. Continuation.

The public employees insurance agency shall continue to exist,
pursuant to article ten, chapter four of this code, until the
first day of July, two thousand three five, unless sooner
terminated, continued or reestablished pursuant to the provisions
of that article.

NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to continue the Public
Employees Insurance Agency until July 1, 2005, pursuant to the West
Virginia Sunset Law.
