A BILL to amend and reenact section fifty, article two, chapter
fifteen of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine
hundred thirty-one, as amended, relating to the continuation
of
the West Virginia state police
.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:


That section fifty, article two, chapter fifteen of the code
of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended,
be amended and reenacted to read as follows:
ARTICLE 2. WEST VIRGINIA STATE POLICE.
§15-2-50. Termination Continuation date.


Pursuant to the provisions of article ten, chapter four of
this code, the The West Virginia state police shall continue to
exist, pursuant to the provisions of article ten, chapter four of
this code,
until the first day of July, two thousand three four,
unless sooner terminated, continued or reestablished by act of the Legislature pursuant to the provisions of that article.

NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to continue the
West
Virginia State Police
until July 1, 2004, pursuant to the West
Virginia Sunset Law.
