A BILL to amend §1-2-3 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, relating to reapportionment of the counties of this state into congressional districts following the 2020 decennial census.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
§1-2-3. Congressional districts.
The number of members to which the state is entitled in
the House of Representatives of the Congress of the United States are
apportioned among the counties of the state, arranged into three two
congressional districts, numbered as follows:
First District: Barbour, Brooke, Doddridge, Gilmer,
Grant, Hancock, Harrison, Marion, Marshall, Mineral, Monongalia, Ohio,
Pleasants, Preston, Ritchie, Taylor, Tucker, Tyler, Wetzel and Wood.

NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to reapportion and assign the counties of this state into congressional districts to adjust for population as determined by the 2020 decennial census.
