A BILL to amend and reenact §64-9-1 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, relating to authorizing the Board of Examiners on Registered Professional Nurses to promulgate a legislative rule relating to policies, standards and criteria for the evaluation and accreditation of colleges, departments or schools of nursing.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:

ARTICLE 9. AUTHORIZATION FOR MISCELLANEOUS AGENCIES AND BOARDS TO PROMULGATE LEGISLATIVE RULES.

§64-9-1. Board of Examiners of Registered Professional Nurses.

The legislative rule passed on April 10, 2009, authorized under the authority of §30-7-4 of this code, relating to the Board of Examiners of Registered Professional Nurses (Policies, Standards and Criteria for the Evaluation and Accreditation of Colleges, Departments or Schools of Nursing, 19 CSR 1), is authorized with the following amendments:

On page three, by striking subdivision 4.1.b. and its paragraphs in its entirety and renumbering the remaining subdivisions accordingly;

On page six, by striking section 8.3. in its entirety and then renumbering remaining sections accordingly; and

On page nine, by striking section 13.3 in its entirety and then renumbering the remaining sections accordingly.

NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to eliminate certain requirements for departments or schools of nursing.
