A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia,1931, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated §18A-2-2b, relating to making public school teachers state employees.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:

ARTICLE 2. SCHOOL PERSONNEL.

§18A-2-2b.  Public school teachers are state employees.

Notwithstanding any other provision of this code to the contrary, after the effective date of this section, all public school teachers are declared to be employees of the state.

NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to make all public school teachers employees of the state.
