A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated §62-1-13, relating to repealing provisions of the code providing immunity from criminal prosecution or liability.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:


ARTICLE 1. PRELIMINARY PROCEDURE.


§62-1-13. Repeal of provisions providing immunity from criminal prosecution or liability.

All provisions in this code providing immunity from criminal prosecution or liability, for any person, natural or unnatural, any official, any employee of the state or its political subdivisions or agencies, or any office or officeholder are hereby repealed, and are void.

 

NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to repeal statutory provisions that provide immunity from criminal prosecution or liability.
