A BILL to repeal section twenty-seven, article one-a, chapter
eleven of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine
hundred thirty-one, as amended, relating to repeal of
archaic language relating to the appraisal control and
review commission and related subcommittees.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That section twenty-seven, article one-a, chapter eleven of
the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one,
as amended, be repealed.
§1. Repeal of section creating the appraisal control and review
commission and related subcommittees.
Section twenty-seven, article one-a, chapter eleven of the
code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as
amended, is hereby repealed.
NOTE: The purpose of this legislation is to repeal sections
in the code relating to a commission and subcommittees that were
created in connection with statewide property reappraisal and
terminated in 1987.
This bill is recommended for passage during the 1997 Regular
Session of the Legislature by the Joint Standing Committee on
Government Organization.
