A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by
adding thereto a new section, designated §30-8-10a, relating
to requiring an optometrist office and an optician office that
adjoin each other to have an interior door to each others
facilities for use by customers.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended
by adding thereto a new section, designated §30-8-10a, to read as
follows:
ARTICLE 8. OPTOMETRISTS.
§30-8-10a. Requirements of optometrist office adjoining optician
office.
Every optometrist office adjoining an optician office, and
vice versa, shall have an interior door connecting the two offices
for use by customers. The expense shall be shared equally by both the optometrist office and the optician office.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to require an optometrist
office and an optician office that adjoin each other to have an
interior door to each others facilities.
