A BILL to amend and reenact §30-31-15 of the Code of West Virginia,
1931, as amended, relating to regulatory board review of the
West Virginia Board of Examiners in Counseling.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That §30-31-15 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended,
be amended and reenacted to read as follows:
ARTICLE 31. LICENSED PROFESSIONAL COUNSELORS.
§30-31-15. Regulatory Board Review of the West Virginia Board of
Examiners in Counseling.
Pursuant to the provisions of article ten, chapter four of
this code, the West Virginia Board of Examiners in Counseling shall
continue to exist until the first day of July, two thousand eight,
unless sooner terminated, continued or reestablished.
The board is subject to a regulatory board review pursuant to
the provisions of article ten, chapter four of this code.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to clarify that the West
Virginia Board of Examinations in Counseling is subject to a
regulatory board review.

This bill is recommended for passage during the 2008 Regular
Session by the Joint Standing Committee on Government Organization.
