A BILL to amend and reenact §18-9B-21 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, relating to state superintendent's reports regarding the finances of school districts.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
The state superintendent shall make an annual report to the Governor and to the Legislature Legislative Oversight Commission on Education Accountability pertaining to the work of the state superintendent and regarding the finances of each school districts district. Any school district that fails to report its finances to the state superintendent may be subject to a reduction of its state funding. The state superintendent shall make such special reports as the Governor or the Legislature Legislative Oversight Commission on Education Accountability may request.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to clarify the state superintendent's reports regarding the finances of school districts.
