HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 42

Requesting the Governor seek a reciprocal agreement with Florida, pursuant to §61-7-6 of the Code of West Virginia, allowing persons with licenses to carry concealed weapons in one state to be considered licensed in the other.

Whereas, Many West Virginians reside in Florida for a significant portion of the year; and
Whereas, These West Virginians who spend time in Florida would benefit from being able to carry their concealed weapons in Florida without having to go through the process of applying for a new concealed weapon permit; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Governor is hereby requested to seek a reciprocity agreement with Florida, allowing persons with licenses to carry concealed weapons in one state to be considered licensed in the other; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk of the House Of Delegates send a copy of this resolution to the Governor.
