CHARLESTON – Senate President Mitch Carmichael, R-Jackson, today said he believes the large list of job vendors at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center for the Kanawha Valley Job and Resource Fair is a sign that West Virginia’s economy continues to improve.
“I am so encouraged to see that today’s Kanawha Valley Job and Resource Fair is bigger than ever, with more employers and opportunities than it has ever hosted before. These events prove that West Virginia’s economy is coming back stronger every day, and that the policies the Legislature has ushered forward in the previous few years are lighting that fire of growth,” Senate President Carmichael said. “I thank Senator Manchin and the City of Charleston for hosting this event to show our citizens that you don’t have to leave West Virginia to find a good career – there are thousands of good-paying jobs right here at home.”
The job fair runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. More information can be found at the event’s website: https://www.jobcase.com/hiring_fairs/d31bcc06-dfea-4e9a-ac08-132d09bbe586.
