I am deeply saddened by the loss of an outstanding and dynamic leader of our state, Governor Arch A. Moore, Jr. Governor Moore leaves a rich legacy in West Virginia. There are hundreds of miles of roads and countless schools throughout our state that are here today because of his tireless efforts. It was obvious that he loved West Virginia deeply and he worked so hard to improve the lives of our citizens. He would be proud to see his legacy of public service carried on by his daughter, Senator Shelley Moore Capito. I am honored to have had the opportunity to work for Governor Moore as a college student and I know our state and nation are better because of his years of public service. My thoughts and prayers are with his children and family, and the countless friends he leaves behind across our state.
