A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated §30-1-21, relating to permitting a person to practice certain professions for limited time for a charitable function.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended by adding thereto a new section, designated §30-1-21, to read as follows:
§30-1-21. Exemption from licensure for professional practice for a charitable function.
A person holding an unrestricted license granted by another jurisdiction to practice a profession licensed under this chapter may serve as a volunteer in a noncompensated role for a charitable function for a period not to exceed seven days. The person shall contact the appropriate board and notify the board of the activity. The board may not charge a fee to permit this charitable practice.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to permit a person to practice his or her profession for seven days for a charitable function.
