A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by
adding thereto a new section, designated §20-2-22b, relating
to establishing that spring gobbler hunting season begins on
the second Monday of April every year.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended
by adding thereto a new section, designated §20-2-22b, to read as
follows:
ARTICLE 2. WILDLIFE RESOURCES.
§20-2-22b. Spring gobbler season.
Notwithstanding any provision in this code to the contrary, in
those counties that permit the hunting of wild turkeys, spring
gobbler season shall open on the second Monday of each April.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to establish that spring
gobbler hunting season begins on the second Monday of April every
year in those counties that permit turkey hunting.
