A BILL to amend and reenact section two, article one, chapter twenty-five of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, relating to continuing the division of corrections.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That section two, article one, chapter twenty-five of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, be amended and reenacted to read as follows:
ARTICLE 1. ORGANIZATION AND INSTITUTIONS.
§25-1-2. Termination of board.
Pursuant to the provisions of article ten, chapter four of this code, the division of corrections shall continue to exist until the first day of July, two thousand two, unless sooner terminated, continued or reestablished pursuant to the provisions of that article.

(NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to continue the division of corrections July 1, 2002, pursuant to the provisions of the West Virginia Sunset Law.
