A BILL to amend article two-a, chapter seventeen of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated section thirteen-a, relating to requiring the division of highways to use salt on roads where economically feasible.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That article two-a, chapter seventeen of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, be amended by adding thereto a new section, designated section thirteen-a, to read as follows:
§17-2A-13a. Use of Salt.
Where economically feasible, the commissioner of highways shall use salt on roads, public roads and highways.

NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to require the Commissioner of Highways to use salt on the roads rather than rocks or cinders so as to minimize damage to cars.

This section is new; therefore strike-throughs and underlining have been omitted.
