Requesting the Division of Highways name a portion of Arnett Road, approximately 250 feet from the intersection of Arnett Road and Copen Road on W V 2/4, together with the small bridge in front of the Providence Baptist Church in Braxton County, the "Terra Dawn Lewis Memorial Road and Bridge".
Whereas, Terra Dawn Lewis was born in Weston, Braxton County on February 6, 1982; and
Whereas, Terra Dawn Lewis was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt, and a woman who loved children and dedicated her life to her family of one biological child, three adopted children, and over 20 foster care placements; and
Whereas, Terra Dawn Lewis was beloved in her community and was stricken down with complications from Covid-19 too early in life; and
Whereas, Terra Dawn Lewis died November 8, 2021, leaving a husband, Joey Lewis and four children, Miranda, Carlyle, Kendrick, and Harrison Lewis and Desiree Thomas; and
Whereas, It is fitting that an enduring memorial be established to commemorate Terra Dawn Lewis and her contributions to her community, her love of family and children; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Division of Highways is hereby requested to name a portion of Arnett Road, approximately 250 feet from the intersection of Arnett Road and Copen Road on W V 2/4,in Braxton County, together with the little bridge in front of the Providence Baptist Church the "Terra Dawn Lewis Memorial Road and Bridge"; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Division of Highways is hereby requested to have made and be placed signs at both ends identifying the portion of road as the "Terra Dawn Lewis Memorial Road and Bridge"; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk of the House forward a copy of this resolution to the Commissioner of the Division of Highways.
