A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by
adding thereto a new section, designated §18-5-47, relating to
requiring local school boards to reimburse employees for
mileage expended in their own vehicle in the course of their
employment at a rate consistent with the state mileage
reimbursement rate.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended
by adding thereto a new section, designated §18-5-47, to read as
follows:
ARTICLE 5. COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION.
§18-5-47. Mileage reimbursement rate for school service personnel.
School service personnel shall be reimbursed for mileage
expended in the course of his or her employment at a rate
consistent with the state mileage reimbursement rate when a school service personnel uses his or her own vehicle.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to require local school
boards to reimburse employees for mileage expended in their own
vehicle in the course of their employment at a rate consistent with
the state mileage reimbursement rate.
