A BILL to amend and reenact section five, article three, chapter twenty-two-b of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, relating to continuation of the environmental quality board .

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That section five, article three, chapter twenty-two-b of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, be amended and reenacted to read as follows:
ARTICLE 3. ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY BOARD.
§22B-3-5. Continuation of the board.
Pursuant to the provisions of article ten, chapter four of this code, and following a preliminary performance review by the joint committee on government operations, The environmental quality board shall continue to exist pursuant to the provisions of article ten, chapter four of this code
until the first day of July, two thousand three five, unless sooner terminated, continued or reestablished by act of the Legislature pursuant to that article.

(NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to continue
the environmental quality board until July 1, 2005, pursuant to the West Virginia sunset law.
