A BILL to amend and reenact §5-1-25 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, relating to the designation of daylight saving time.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That §5-1-25 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended and reenacted to read as follows:
ARTICLE 1. THE GOVERNOR.
§5-1-25. Designation of daylight saving time as official time.
Daylight saving time shall
be the statewide official time, commencing at two o’clock antemeridian on the last
second Sunday of April March and terminating at two o’clock
antemeridian on the last first Sunday of October November;
said this time shall apply to all public schools, institutions of
higher learning, agencies, departments and political subdivisions of the state.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to bring the state code relating to daylight saving time in conformity with federal code and practice.
