A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding thereto a new article, designated §16-2Q-1, relating to abortion, requiring all abortions to be performed by a physician board-certified eligible in obstetrics and gynecology.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
(a) Any abortion performed in the State of West Virginia shall be performed by a physician board-certified eligible in obstetrics and gynecology.
(b) Nothing in this article shall be construed to create a right to abortion.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to require all abortions to be performed by a physician board-certified eligible in obstetrics and gynecology.
