A BILL to repeal §24-2-11 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, relating to repealing the requirement of a certificate of public convenience and necessity in order for certain water and sewer utilities to undertake construction projects.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:

 

§1. Repeal of section requiring certificate of public convenience and necessity.

That §24-2-11 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, is repealed.

 

 

NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to eliminate the requirement for a certificate of public convenience and necessity in order for certain water and sewer utilities to undertake construction projects.
