HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 65

Urging the President of the United States and Congress develop and
implement a quality affordable health care policy for all
Americans.
Whereas, Due to high health care costs and the nation's
inability to address the needs of millions of people in this
country without health coverage; and
Whereas, West Virginia residents are struggling with health
care costs, reductions in employee health coverage and increased
incidences of disabling illnesses; and
Whereas, Something must be done to provide adequate health care
at reasonable rates for all Americans; and
Whereas, The lack of affordable health care is a national problem and requires a national solution; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Legislature hereby urges the President and Congress
of the United States to develop and implement a quality affordable
health care policy for all Americans; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates,
forward a certified copy of this resolution to the President,
United States Senators Robert C. Byrd and John D. Rockefeller IV,
Representatives Nick J. Rahall, Alan B. Mollohan and Shelley M.
Capito and the Governor.
