A BILL to amend and reenact §29-1A-5 of the code of West Virginia,
1931, as amended, relating to continuation of
the
interstate
commission on uniform state laws
.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That §29-1A-5 of the code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended,
be amended and reenacted to read as follows:
ARTICLE 1A. COMMISSION ON UNIFORM STATE LAWS.
§29-1A-5. Continuation of commission.
After having conducted a preliminary performance review
through its joint committee on government operations, pursuant to
article ten, chapter four of this code, the Legislature hereby
finds and declares that the commission on uniform state laws should
be continued and reestablished. Accordingly, notwithstanding the

exist until the first day of July, two thousand four ten, unless
sooner terminated, continued or reestablished pursuant to the provisions of article ten, chapter four of this code

until July 1, 2010, pursuant to
the West Virginia sunset law. This bill is recommended by the
joint committee on government operations.
