A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated §5F-1-7, relating to requiring executive branch agencies to maintain internet posting of certain information.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
ARTICLE 1. GENERAL PROVISIONS.
§5F-1-7. Availability on internet of certain state grant information.
Beginning July 1, 2020, each agency, in a searchable and intuitive manner to the public, shall publish and maintain the following information, if applicable, on the agency’s generally accessible internet website:
Available state grant opportunities to include, but not be limited to:
(a) Available grant information and application information;
(b) Grant eligibility requirements;
(c) Award ranges and award deadlines.
State grants that are awarded in an amount greater than $20,000 to include, but not
be limited to:
The name and address of the grantee’s organization;
The purpose of the award;
The amount of the award;
The effective date and duration of the award; and
Any financial and performance reports which are required by State of West Virginia.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to require state agencies to publish and maintain state grant opportunities and awards on their websites.
