A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated §17-4-56, relating to requiring the Commissioner of Highways to include rumble strips on construction projects involving two lane secondary roads.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:


ARTICLE 4. STATE ROAD SYSTEM.


§17-4-56. Rumble strips required on new secondary road projects.

On all new construction projects involving two lane secondary roads, the commissioner shall require the placement of rumble strips at the center of the road, changing the noise a vehicle’s tires make on the surface and so that drivers are warned of crossing the center line of the road.

 

NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to require the Commissioner of Highways to include rumble strips on construction projects involving two lane secondary roads.
