A BILL to amend article two-b, chapter eighteen of the code of
West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as
amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated section
nine, relating to the eligibility to apply for and receive
grants for adults enrolled in vocational programs.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That article two-b, chapter eighteen of the code of West
Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, be
amended by adding thereto a new section, designated section nine,
to read as follows:
ARTICLE 2B. AREA VOCATIONAL PROGRAM.
§18-2B-9. Grants for vocational education students.
Any adult who is enrolled in a vocational-technical or
occupational education program which is approved by the state
board of education, is eligible to apply for and receive any
grant from any fund which is available to any other student
enrolled in any educational program in this state.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to permit adults who are
enrolled in approved adult education programs to apply for and
receive any grant which is available to any other student in this
state.
