A BILL to authorize students who are eligible to attend the new Summers County high school to vote for the school mascot and colors.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
NEW SUMMERS COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL.

§1. Eligible students to vote for school mascot and school colors at new Summers County high school.

The students eligible to attend the new Summers County high school are entitled to vote for their choice, without restriction, of a school mascot and school colors. The county board of education shall prepare ballots for this election or vote, determine the procedure for election and conduct the election no later than one year before the scheduled opening of the new high school. The choice of mascot and school colors shall be determined by a simple majority and no student may be permitted to cast more than one ballot.

NOTE: This is a local bill to permit students eligible to attend the new Summers County high school to vote for theirchoice of school mascot and school colors.
