A BILL to amend article ten, chapter eighteen-b of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated section seven-a, relating to tuition waivers for persons at least sixty years old who audit college courses and classes.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That article ten, chapter eighteen-b of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, be amended by adding thereto a new section, designated section seven-a, to read as follows:
ARTICLE 10. FEES AND OTHER MONEY COLLECTED AT STATE INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION.

§18b-10-7A. Tuition waivers for persons at least sixty-years old who audit college courses and classes.

Each state institution of higher education shall permit any person to audit its undergraduate or graduate courses and classes if classroom space is available without charging such person anytuition or fees, except processing fees included in section one of this article, if such person is at least sixty years of age.



NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to permit persons sixty years old and older to audit college courses and classes without paying tuition.
