A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated §24-6-15, relating to emergency telephone systems; and requiring annual reporting by county answering points to the Public Service Commission.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:


ARTICLE 6. LOCAL EMERGENCY TELEPHONE SYSTEM.


§24-6-15. Reporting by county answering points.

Each county answering point shall annually file a report with the Public Service Commission. The report shall be on a form prescribed by the commission, filed at the time prescribed by the commission and contain information required by the commission. The report shall contain data for the Public Service Commission to complete its annual filing to the Federal Communications Commission.

 

NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to require county answering points operating emergency telephone systems to report information annually to the Public Service Commission.
