A BILL to amend and reenact section fifteen, article thirty-one,
chapter thirty of the code of West Virginia, one thousand
nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, relating to continuing
the West Virginia board of examiners in counseling until the
first day of July, one thousand nine hundred ninety-seven.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That section fifteen, article thirty-one, chapter thirty of
the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one,
as amended, be amended and reenacted to read as follows:
ARTICLE 31. LICENSED PROFESSIONAL COUNSELORS.
§30-31-15. Continuation of board.
After having conducted a
preliminary performance
audit
review through its joint committee on government operations, pursuant to
section nine, article ten, chapter four of this code,
the Legislature hereby finds and declares that the West Virginia
board of examiners in counseling should be continued and
reestablished. Accordingly, notwithstanding the provisions of
section four, article ten, chapter four of this code, the West
Virginia board of examiners in counseling shall continue to exist
until the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred
ninety-eight ninety-seven, to allow for monitoring of compliance
with recommendations contained in the preliminary performance
review and to allow for further review by the joint committee on
government operations.
